AUDIT MANAGER

My client is a family office managing the wealth of one major client for the most part. They employ some of the latest sound and progressive strategies in managing their assets and have a profitable track record. Their offices are in Southern Connecticut.

The Audit Manager will work on audits of strategic value to the firm and gain exposure to senior management. Candidate will enjoy career opportunities based on performance

The Audit Manager assists the firm in meeting its business objectives by identifying business risks, maintaining the control environment, and advising on opportunities for process improvement.  The Audit Manager is responsible for:

• Developing risk management objectives and audit programs;
• Completing operational, financial, and compliance audits in accordance with the audit plan and professional standards;
• Providing practical, value-added recommendations to improve risk management and control practices as well as the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations;
• Preparing audit reports, including the evaluation of risk management, governance, and control activities;
• Assisting in the administration of the Firm’s Enterprise Risk Assessment program;
• Providing consulting services to business management leading to improvements in the control environment or operational effectiveness;

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in auditing or consulting
• The ability to analyze situations, draw appropriate conclusions, and make value-added recommendations
• A strong sense of structure and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Writing skills are particularly important
• Inquisitiveness
• Thoroughness and attention to detail
• Knowledge of audit methodologies and standards
• Innovativeness with respect to problem solving
• B.B.A. / B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Engineering required
• CPA
