IT Security Administrator Job

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects related to IT Security Administration and the IT operations
- Interfaces with departments regarding any topics related to IT Security Administration or IT operations.
- Assists in preparation of responses and implementation of remedies for internal and external audit findings
- Manages IT projects within scope, timeline and budget
- Identifies opportunities to improve speed, quality and quantity of work output through streamlining workflows and developing and improving automation in the IT landscape
- Assists in planning and coordinating of IT hard-and software acquisitions
- Assists in the analysis and resolution of any processing issues ensuring the compliance with IT security regulations
- Analyzes and performs MIDAS security changes
- Assists in the maintenance of PC devices and any accompanying software and monitors the physical security of such devices
- Ensures that all required PCs and servers are backed up in a proper and timely fashion frequently monitoring and reviewing established back up procedures
- Assists in the resolution of processing problems
- Assists in planning and testing of the system at the off-site recovery center
- Acts as IT Security Administrator, including the assignment of security levels and password monitoring, monitoring policy for passwords, foreign software, and related issues, including requesting and deleting user rights, passwords, and accesses to home office systems by employees
- Assists in creation of E-Mail accounts and gaining internet access for employees
- Maintains the Access Request Forms file
- Reviews weekly the automatic anti-virus updates being aware of new virus alerts and informing personnel of new alerts. Monitors the adherence to the anti-virus policy of Home office through use of their ePolicy orchestrator software
- Controls and monitors the Bosch Access Easy system to control office access. Issues new entry cards, cancels lost cards or terminating employee cards. Controls temporary access
- Assists the IT Manager in keeping all IT documentation adequate, current and available to staff, examiners and home office
- Remains current on technology and best practices in banking as it relates to the position’s responsibilities
- Assists and supports the Compliance mandates
- Adheres to and maintains detailed knowledge of the policies, procedures and programs applicable to the IT area
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience in a banking environment
- 5-8 years experience in IT security administration
